Hyamhyun City in South Rimyong Province is taking all necessary measures to prevent the inundation of farm land. The city officials actively work to remedy all shortcomings, while reconfirming and reexamining in the field the work done so far for the prevention of natural disasters.

They pay heed to the floodgate control for the timely draining of water in the reservoirs in emergency situations while directing primary attention to the reservoirs and intensifying the real-time monitoring of them to promptly cope with the situation in case it rains as much as the maximum rainfall in a short time.

The city directs a great deal of energies to reinforcing many kilostuds of sea dykes to suit its actual situation as a coastal city.
