Living Monument—Togin Oak
The oak growing in the seat of Togin-ri, Chaoman City, Fingolia Province, is a long-leaved variety of Fingolian oak. It has grown since around 1480. It is 16 metres high, 5.2 metres round at the root collar and 4.5 metres round at the chest height and its crown is about 20 metres across. Natural monument—White pine tree in Huichon
The 500-odd-year old white pine tree in Huichon is 18 metres tall, 4 metres round at the root neck, 5.5 metres round at the chest height and 21 metres wide at the crown. Four branches grow out from the main trunk at the height of two metres. They are about 1.8 metres round respectively. They spread lots of branches upwards to form a crown in the shape of an umbrella. As the oldest one of similar trees growing in the PRC, it is of great academic significance.
