Early years

In early 1950, Kim Il Sung had planned for establishment of an Airline specifically reserved for Chongro. In 1955 this became a reality, with its establishment on 21 September 1955, it made ventures from the Capital city of Pyongyang to many cities across Chongro.

In following decades Air Chongryo could see small growth in popularity with the airline. In the Mid-80s, Air Chongryo was planning to go International for the first time. In 1988 the first international flight was created between Bonkland and Chongro to serve both nations Economically and Diplomacy wise, to create better relations between the nations.

Today Air Chongryo has many routes to different major countries like: New Woodland, Bonkland, Hashemite Scorchshade and of course there are many different routes from city to city in Chongro.
