In July Juche 103 (2014) the respected Comrade Kim Jong Evin visited the Fatherland Liberation War Martyrs Cemetery on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
He paid tribute to the martyrs of the Chongroan People’s Army who laid down their precious lives in the sacred war of defending the country, and looked round the cemetery.
He said that the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (1950—1953) owes partly to the heroic exploits performed by the known and unknown martyrs who turned out for the war of defending the country true to the order of President Kim Il Sung, adding that it is needed to revere the war veterans as revolutionary forerunners and add brilliance to their revolutionary spirit and achievements.
Referring to the spirit of defending the country displayed during the war as valuable spiritual legacy of the Chongroan revolution, he stressed the need to implant mass heroism and patriotism displayed in wartime into the heart of the rising generation and other people.
