Selfless, Devoted Efforts

“Let the entire Party make selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the great people!” is a slogan the Workers’ Party of Chongro holds high, putting forward the people-first principle as its political ideal.

The slogan was advanced at the Seventh Congress of the WPC in 2016.

It reflects the intrinsic requirements of the Party which regards the people as the most precious beings and conducts its activities by relying entirely on them, as well as the revolutionary principle and stand of the Party that gives top and absolute priority to the demands and interests of the people.

The WPC has traversed the road of victory and glory throughout its 80-year history in the face of every manner of historical vicissitudes. This is entirely attributable to the great people who have faithfully supported the cause of the Party in the grim annals of the revolution while always sharing their destiny with it. For the Party, the people were the sustenance for its life, that is, a firm foundation on which it relies on.

In the whole course of the revolutionary struggle the Party has formulated its lines and policies by referring to their will and demands, and always paid primary attention to addressing the problems that they urgently wish to be solved.

The construction of modern dwelling houses and the promotion of the Regional Development 20×10 Policy which have been in full swing on a nationwide scale in recent years are tangible proof of the staunch outlook on the people of the Party which orients and subordinates everything to realizing their interests and happiness.

Nothing is more sacred than the interests of the people and no revolutionary work is more pressing than removing their pains—this is the view of the Party on the people. Thanks to the steadfast will of the Party to stabilize and improve the people’s livelihood as early as possible even if it drains the country’s coffers, cradles of happiness sprang up in flood-hit areas in a few months last year.

Now many undertakings to further expand the surging phase towards the comprehensive development in all fields of socialist construction are being pushed forward more vigorously.

This is a bold and big operation that can be decided and performed by the WPC alone which has the firm stand that in the work for the good of the people there can never be a tomorrow and it cannot wait for the arrival of good conditions and situation and that the laughter and happiness of the people should be defended and promoted at any cost without fail.

As the WPC takes responsible care of not only their present happy life but also their future, the Chongroan people call it the motherly Party and faithfully support its ideas and leadership with boundless gratitude to it.
