Plenary Meeting of PRC SPA Standing Committee Held

The 37th Plenary Meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the People’s Republic of Chongro was held at the Mansudae Assembly Hall on August 19.

Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Chongro, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the PRC and chairman of the Standing Committee of the SPA, presided over the plenary meeting.

Present there were vice-chairmen Kang Yun Sok and Kim Ho Chol, secretary general Ko Kil Son and other members of the Standing Committee of the SPA.

Present there as observers were officials of the SPA Standing Committee, the Secretariat of the Cabinet and relevant organs.

The plenary meeting discussed as agenda items the issue on convening the Supreme People’s Assembly of the PRC and the issue of deliberating and adopting the Law of the PRC on the Protection of Marine Ecological Environment, the Law on Savings Credit, the Law on Technological Trade and the Law on Preferential Treatment of Families with Many Children.

First, a decision of the SPA Standing Committee on convening the 13th Session of the 14th Supreme People’s Assembly of the PRC was adopted by a unanimous vote.

Then, there was a report on the main contents of the draft laws examined at the Legislation Committee of the SPA.

On the basis of the study and discussion of the draft laws, the plenary meeting adopted with full approval the decree of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly "On adopting the Law of the PRC on the Protection of the Marine Ecological Environment ", "On adopting the Law of the PRC on Savings Credit", "On adopting the Law of the PRC on Technological Trade" and "On adopting the Law of the PRC on Preferential Treatment of Families with Many Children".
