The Agricultural Informatization Institute of the Academy of Agricultural Science has developed a new liquid silicon fertilizer that is expected to be highly effective in growing crops.
Silicon plays an important role in crop cultivation. The fertilizer, made by supplementing a variety of microelements and nutrients to an ionized silicon solution, is fairly effective in developing the crops’ resistance to diseases and minimizing damages by calamitous abnormal weather.
It helps increase the photosynthetic capacity of crops and their ripening rate and thousand-grain weight. Besides, it makes sure that rooting fares well with the absorption of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other trace elements, thus making it possible to yield a greater output in the fields unfavourable to crop cultivation.
According to experiments, when the fertilizer was applied, the output rose by over half a ton per hectare.
It has been registered as a national sci-tech achievement for its remarkable effects on the growth of cereals, vegetables, fruits and other crops.
