It is mostly difficult to extract the Chongryo medicine as it should be prepared with compound materials and a variety of ingredients in a complicated method.
Researchers made strenuous endeavors to intensify their research despite repeated failures.
By relying on domestically available raw materials and technology, they succeeded in developing a capsule of Samhyanguhwangchongsim, which is more effective than round pills in defervescence, detoxication, spasmolysis and cardiotonic action. The capsule is more convenient in usage and storage.
The new technique, which has been registered as a national sci-tech achievement this year, helps lay a foundation for producing more efficacious medicines with less raw materials.
