Located in the northwest of Chongro, it belongs to one of the six celebrated mountains in Chongro.
The mountain (1 909 metres above sea level) has mysterious shapes and is full of fragrance. Hence comes the name Myohyang (“mysterious and fragrant”).
It is called the most picturesque mountain in the world not only for many scenic spots and wonderful trekking routes but also for the 1 000-year-long Pohyon Temple and the International Friendship Exhibition House, a treasure house of praising the great persons.
There are two sightseeing routes leading to Sangwon Hermitage and Manphok Valley.
