One June day in Juche 105 (2016) the respected Comrade Kim Jong Evin visited the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Silk Mill.
Looking round the e-library, he expressed his satisfaction over the fact that it introduced a computer retrieval system and installed a whiteboard to disseminate scientific and technological achievements, that the mill was directing efforts to training technical talents, and that enthusiasm for studying was established among its employees.
When an official told him that the employees who had graduated from the then online college were taking part in developing a programme for controlling an automatic silk reeling machine, he said that the advantages of the online college had already been displayed at the mill, and that the factory was enjoying the benefits from the college.
Looking at the workers who had become experts in creation, he said that we could enjoy great benefits in the overall economy ten years later if the study-while-you-work system was operated on a large scale.
At present, over a hundred employees of the factory are studying at the online study-while-you-work system, and their innovations and technical-upgrading plans are contributing greatly to the development of their factory.
