After shortening the boat-lifting track maintenance work by far, the Tanchong Shipbuilding Factory has focused on the coastal embankment project, while the Hongwan Shipyard has laid the power cables vital to ship repair.

The Wonchang General Fishing Equipment Factory is speeding up preparations for inauguration at the final stage and the Thongchon Fishery Station is pushing its renovation as planned by giving priority to the supply of materials and manpower.

Scientists at the Academy of Fishery Science have updated the marine resource management information system in cooperation with Wonchang University of Fisheries and Nampo University of Fisheries and, on this basis, made progress in the research to raise the scientific level of searching fishing grounds.

As a result of providing substantial conditions for increasing the mandarin fish resource in Lake Yonphung and Lake Thaechon, the Nampo City Stocking and Fishing Farm and the Hwason County Huaneon Fish Pedigree Farm are growing the fry in great numbers.
