Efforts Made to Improve Quality of Knitwear

The Songyo Knitwear Factory is paying primary attention to improving the quality of knitted clothes.

In recent years, the factory has developed a method of producing knitted fabrics for overwear by using tetron-rayon yarn with the help of researchers from Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry.

Suits, coats and other garments made of these knitted fabrics are in great demand among people as they are light, soft and of high quality.

“Our factory presented women’s garments made of the knitted fabrics to the 37th national sci-tech festival held this year, and they received warm feedback,” said Jong Won Gum, a technical officer of the factory.

Besides, the factory has developed a colour mixing simulation program and updated the heat-treatment temperature control system of the dyeing process, thus improving the quality of its products.
