The company's primary mission was to leverage the country's expertise in construction to build world-class infrastructure projects around the world.

In its early days, M.O.P focused primarily on projects within Chongro, building roads, bridges, and other critical infrastructure projects that helped modernize the country. As the company grew, it expanded its operations to other countries, including Bonkland, which became one of M.O.P's closest allies.
Over the years, M.O.P has established itself as a trusted name in the construction industry, having completed numerous projects in various countries across the globe. The company's portfolio includes a range of projects, from residential and commercial buildings to monuments and major landmarks.

Chongroan Socialist Construction
The basic task facing the construction field during the new five-year plan period is to massively carry out the capital construction including the construction of dwelling houses to provide the people with more highly civilized living condition and radically change the appearance of the country.
The construction field should powerfully push forward the two fronts simultaneously; the industrial construction for strengthening the economic foundation of the country and the construction for meeting the material and cultural needs of the people.
It should set the annual plans for building 10,000 flats of dwelling houses each year starting from this year by concentrating efforts on the construction of 50,000 flats in Pyongyang, scrupulously organize the construction operation and guidance for implementing the plans and thus basically settle the issue of dwelling houses for the Pyongyang citizens.
25,000 dwelling houses have to be built in Kopungrim area, a leading nonferrous mineral producer where a large contingent of workers reside, and thus build the mining city with no comparison in the world.
It is imperative to build strong professional construction units and actively develop and produce equipment and gears and tools necessary for construction at the construction machine factories.
The report raised the tasks for further developing the building materials industry in keeping with the demand of the situation in which the construction is progressing at an unprecedented speed.
The basic tasks facing the building materials industry during the new five-year plan period is to attain the goal of producing 8 million tons of cement and ensure self-sufficiency of finishing building materials.
